Wicklow Montessori School (Ltd) is an Independent, Christian, Co-educational, Primary school situated on the outskirts of Wicklow Town.  The school was founded in 1970, it is a non-profit making organisation and all income is used to run and equip the school to the highest possible standards.

Approximately 90 boys and girls attend the school from age three to age twelve years (Pre infants to 6^th Class).

The Montessori method and philosophy of education is upheld, combined with the curricular programmes prescribed by the Department of Education and Science

The development of the personal character of each child is closely observed and guided by the teaching staff.  Towards this end, an interest in all aspects of culture is encouraged and fostered.

The school timetable accommodates periods, for all standard academic subjects.  In addition, we employ specialised teachers for Computers, French, Science, Drama, Music and Physical Education. 

The school also offers modules in art, cookery and creative writing and a Leadership skills module for our senior class.  The school brings in qualified personnel for these modules.

The school is purpose built and provides bright attractive classrooms with stunning views.  It has a computer room which houses the most up-to-date technical equipment, a large multipurpose hall, tennis court, and play areas.

The children are encouraged to use the interactive white boards in the classrooms and to write stories and carry out research using the computers in our computer room on a daily basis.  Their knowledge and skill level is further enhanced by their weekly computer class.

Wicklow Montessori School offers a wonderful and unique learning experience for children, where a love of learning is instilled within a caring and supportive environment.
