Forest School

We aim to bring the pupils from Junior Infants to second class on a Forest School trip once a month. We visit local forests such as the Devil’s Glen, Kilmacurragh and Glenealy to study the habitats and wildlife, do art and craft activities, and explore their surroundings through free play. This hands-on learning experience raises environmental awareness. During the summer term we go to some of our local beaches to study the seashore. On some of these visits we are accompanied by an established Forest School leader.
